Fish Posted 23 April 2020 Posted 23 April 2020 Yes I was there 15 at the time. Coach from Kibworth. Stood on Liverpool cop. Bloke behind clocked us as from Leicester but told us it was ok as he was Everton fan. Best stand as I believe bottles throw into Leicester corner ! My mind is we won 2-0 home match with that Peake goal ? Other memories pissing out the coach door as in drove in traffic and a few punches thrown on Stanley park. Alan Smith coaches, his son lee drove lcfc bus for a while I believe. Back in the days when we were good , oh wait 😆
majaco Posted 24 April 2020 Posted 24 April 2020 I was at the home game earlier in the season. I was a teenager. Pen 4 was not a conducive environment. If I remember correctly, in the absence of having a donkey on the bench, Henderson was brought on. He had a great moment and scored later on.
wokinghamfox Posted 25 April 2020 Posted 25 April 2020 I played for Flackwell Heath at Edgware that day, cant believe that I remember that winning in a tough game. Remember being told the City score straight after getting a double whammy. 31st January 1981 was a great day for football as far as I was concerned.
Guest worth_the_wait Posted 26 April 2020 Posted 26 April 2020 And here's some information that dates it as nearly 40 years ago ... Football special. £5. D. Leicester 10.48 A. Liverpool Lime St 13.37 D. Liverpool Lime St 18.16 A. Leicester 20.50 I think a normal day return was £9.90.
lestuhfox Posted 26 April 2020 Posted 26 April 2020 I still have the football special ticket. A small rectangular pink thick card. In a frame with the programme.
