Guest seanfox778 Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 i know you have probably already disscussed this but how come MDV could play on tuesday night but is suspended today
Steven Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 From the OS. Boss Names Three ChangesCraig Levein makes three changes to his starting line up for the Championship clash against Southampton at the Walkers Stadium. In come Momo Sylla, Elvis Hammond and Dion Dublin for Iain Hume, Danny Tiatto and Mark de Vries. De Vries misses the game through suspension, while Tiatto and Hume drop to the bench. The Foxes look set to revert to a 4-4-2 formation after lining up as a 4-3-3 in the ill-fated game against Plymouth in midweek. Levein will stick with the same back four for the fourth consecutive fixture, with Alan Maybury, Paddy McCarthy, Patrik Gerrbrand and Nils-Eric Johansson lining up form right to left. Sylla, Gareth Williams, Patrick Kisnorbo and youngster Ryan Smith will play across the midfield with Dublin and Hammond in attack. The Foxes go into the fixture looking to stretch their unbeaten run to four games, while Southampton arrive having won their last two games. Former Fox Dennis Wise is named on the bench for the visitors. City: Douglas, Maybury, Gerrbrand, McCarthy, Johansson, Sylla, Williams, Kisnorbo, Smith, Hammond, Dublin. Subs: Henderson, Tiatto, Stearman, Hume, Hamill. Southampton: Niemi, Lundekvam, Oakley, McCann, Svensson, Quashie, Fuller, Delap, Higginbotham, Belmardi, Walcott. Subs: Smith, Kojowski, Wise, Powell, Pahars
Little Nicky Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Come on City! U can do this lads, lets give Soton a stuffing!
Anish Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 i know you have probably already disscussed this but how come MDV could play on tuesday night but is suspended today I know, it's ridiculous. The half match at Plymouth counted as a 'full game' for the purposes of MDV (i.e. that was the one game he could play before his suspension began) but did not count for Joey G's suspension. So Gudjonsson misses out today. No logic whatsoever. But that's the Football League for you
lookwhaticando Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Dublin and Hammond - interesting strike pair
stulcfc Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 i would have went for hume and hammond myself but lets hope they can bag a few goals
Anish Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Yep I would have liked to see Hume and Hammond but Dion offers a better aerial threat.
Little Nicky Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Come on City, thats why we're struggling, the finishing touch of most of the squad is not upto scratch! Ah well come on you blues!
Samu Posted 5 November 2005 Author Posted 5 November 2005 Sorry about this guys but don't suppose anyone has a link to listen to the game. Only just realised that my LCFC World subscription ended Nov 1st and for some damned reason it won't accept my credit card details. Please help
