Stop the Rich 6 appeasement!

If Leicester City FC believe this then they and the other 14 PL Clubs must do everything to unite with fans to stop this appeasing the Rich 6 with offers of more money and non-merit based qualification to  the CL or any other competition.

 

 "Leicester City Football Club has joined 13 of its Premier League colleagues in opposition to a European Super League and to reaffirm our commitment to the long-standing and successful structure of domestic football," it said.

"Competitive integrity and merit-based achievement are fundamental principles of the sport which, if compromised, will cause irreparable damage to the game, to the clubs whose legitimate aspirations underpin the entire football pyramid and to the communities those clubs serve.

 

 

We've seen what fan, player and club power can do so they should turn their attention to this creeping appeasement otherwise it will be a slow road to the SL the Rich crave.

I don’t know if calling them the ‘rich 6’ fits with what they are?

The Greedy Six maybe better or a few other four letter words, but looking at the debt most are in, rich isn’t what they are...

I think we were roughly in line with AC Milan in terms of debt from memory, I’m sure someone has the exact figures somewhere.

Rich six, Big six both suggest entitlement. Any term that provides these clubs with an advantage needs to be avoided. Now much more than ever.

I think that the fact they can carry that debt because their revenues and assets are so large is what makes them Rich.

I think the debt angle is over done especially with Spurs who've just built a state of the art stadium. Arsenal and Atletico to a lesser extent as well. We'd be in the middle of that chart so we can't really point the finger.
