DUNDEE UNITED are set to cash in on teenage star Kerr Smith before the window closes.

 

SunSport understands Southampton are leading the chase for the 16-year-old, while Crystal Palace, Leeds, Leicester and Celtic are all monitoring the situation.

 

Saints have made two recent bids which have been rejected by the Tannadice board, but it’s still likely they will move the young centre half on by the end of the month.

I was half way through a post in the development squad thread as we were told by those close to the club in the media this summer that we were investing heavily in our U16/18/23 squad and having a huge overhaul of players which hasn't happened yet. There's been several transfers but nothing out of the ordinary compared to previous years. The only player we've paid any money for is Brad Young and Ben Grist.
