I have seen this mentioned here and there, and I know a few years back there was organised travel from Hinckley to home/away matches. However, I have been thinking about this and wondered if anyone in the Hinckley area had used services previously? It would be good if the club offered some other pick-up/starting points for away coach travel (not just Hinckley but using that as my local). Or if there was something run independently. There would surely be many areas with a good demand to fill a couple of coaches (e.g. Hinckley/Loughborough/Syston etc.). It would save a lot of people travelling into Leicester.

For Hinckley, it is also helpful that there is good motorway access. I would certainly be more inclined to travel on a coach if it departed locally.

They used to do a bus from Hinckley to the ground, my wifes aunt used to run it, but that's all gone now.

It would be great if they did it again

I heard there used to be a bus to home and away matches, would be more likely to use coach travel if I didn't have to go to the KP.

I messaged Jim and he mentioned the Hinckley Supporters Club do some travel but again, I find it very difficult to get any information. May start looking next season if it makes travel to matches easier.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the thread, but has anyone found out any more regarding travel to and from Hinckley for home and away matches ?

@yorkie1999 says fox travel has a pick up point in Hinckley for away matches, is that still the case ? Whenever I've used it I've gone to KP as i didn't see an option for anything else.

Hard to believe that as demand is at an all time high there seems to be less services available.

I didn't really get anywhere, same as you pretty baffled with demand being there surely. Apparently there is a Hinckley Supporters Club who organise travel but no idea who runs that?

My wife’s auntie used to run it, but that was in the 60’s and 70’s.

As for home travel, how the hell haven't city negotiated a deal with first and arriva for free leicestershire wide travel on match days for ticket holders?

It's a win/win all-round...

They get chanve to impress punters who'd never use a bus in a.million years

They'd get a free box / Corp tickets for thier staff and guests as part of a contra

City get loads of good PR about slashing carbon etc

It's  nice and helpful by everyone and for everyone. What's  not to like?
