I have just matched your contributions as promised = £149.  Thank you so much for your kindness and comments towards/ for a complete stranger.

 

Regards progress - there has been a significant increase in people registering to be bone marrow transfers.  As yet no match has been found.  There is a hope that a umbilical cord match will help extend the life period (I am not averse to the technicalities here).  Let’s hope for Florence x

An update for you following your kind contributions.

 

1.  Finding a bone marrow match proved unsuccessful but the uptake on donors has been wonderful.

2.  Florence has had both ovaries removed.

3.  She has gone through a period of intense chemotherapy treatment

4.  On Thursday she had an umbilical chord transfer - the chance of success is remote but is an essential step to allow the next step to proceed.  That could be in Singapore - stem cell transfer.

5.  If this is to be the last and final step let’s hope she will be fit to travel (and other things don’t prevent it)

6.  The fundraising target of £500k was surpassed after 39 days (how wonderful people are).  It has surpassed £600k in the last 24hrs.

Thanks for the update.  That is tough on a child and makes the football completely meaningless.
