Dear all

 

A bit of an emotional request, I acknowledge, but as I will explain every small donation helps.  I have known the girl’s grandfather all my life so I’m emotionally involved.
 

The background - the background is available in the fund raising page, but in short this is the position.

 

The young girl, Florence Bark, is tragically affected by a rare form of leukaemia (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia).  To try and explain further: about 100 children per year are diagnosed with AML but, worse, Florence has got a genetic mutation which only about 10% of the 100 children have.

 

The best form of success is a bone marrow transplant but weeks (diminishing quickly) have failed to produce a match.  The alternative is NOT available on the NHS hence the fundraising page with an aim of £500k and has raised over £200k in ten days.  Like many fund raising pages it needs several injections to keep momentum going.

 

And I promise that any Foxes Talk members that donate and annotate their contribution “Foxes Talk LCFC” I will match contributions up to £1,000.

 

And the link to our football team?  The girl’s father and her brother are Leicester City supporters and I know they are being sustained by the extension of “love” from friends, family and complete strangers who have contributed.  Florence’s life is what really matters though.

I'm not in a great situation financially, but done what I can. Always gets me to see kids who are in such a predicament, just isn't right. Donated, and hope you soon hit your target.

Thank you all.  As requested - so I can track for my matched payment - if donators could simply comment in the comments box that is available “Foxes Talk - LCFC” I can keep a record.  Skids, Spirit, Tom - I think I know what you’ve donated 👏👏

 

I do know Davie G’s and there was another shortly after I started this thread.

It is but plenty of people use the "View New Posts" option so are unlikely to see it. So it's a bit swings and roundabouts. Your best bet is to post in it regularly with a 'Bump'.
