We need it after last season. Let’s get back to moaning about Rudkin. He’s probably about to go on his 2 weeks summer holiday about now.

Sorry dude, still ****in angry about this cause it shouldn’t have happened, to see people waxing lyrical cause he fluked an FA Cup whilst Peter Tayloring us, and using it to cushion the blow as if the 2 things are mutually exclusive well that annoys the ever loving shit out of me even more. 1

Even relatively part-time Leicester fans will understand the importance of the FA Cup to the club. Because of our history it meant as much as the league win. For some supporters maybe more. And Chilwell was offside. This isn't up for debate. It also very hard to debate that we knocked out some good teams with some excellent performances. Brighton at home was probably the only time we played poorly in that run. Honestly, what's the matter McFly? Edited 7 June 2023 by bovril 1

Exactly, we beat 4 PL teams to win the FA Cup, Man U finished 2nd and Chelsea finished 4th in the league.

Black and white thinking football fans just can't seem to bring context into any thoughts. So he has to go down as some kind of a legend who has all this magical credit in the bank. Rather than just going "oh look, a good bunch of players won every game they were favourites for and then sh*thoused the final in the most spectacular way possible". Then you have to be talked down to by "real fans" for 12-18 months until they wake up, all it takes to wake them up is getting relegated with the 7 or 8th highest wage bill in the league. Sort of describe yourself there. 1
SK3Blue Posted 7 June 2023 Posted 7 June 2023 Never been convinced with Mendy, there was a time when his name on the teamsheet was greeted with groans. Only p1ss poor performances from Ndidi and Soumare made him shine amongst the fans, couldn't fault his effort, would have done a good job in the Championship but always felt there was something missing with him.

Oh sure, I'm sure I can be guilty of it as well, I've not really missed recently though :p "We've historically been a yoyo club, so there's no possible way we could be a in a position where we're genuinely 4th/5th favourites for a Trophy" ergo, the person who happened to be managing is a legend with tonnes of "credit in the bank". Incredibly laughable, especially when the chances were event further enhanced as the manager was basically under instruction to go as strong as possible to win a domestic trophy. Anyway, this is a Mendy thread so I'll leave it there
