Douglas 5 poor, poor poor at fault for the free kick going in

Maybury 7- best game i've seen from him this season

Gerrbrand 8 - won (almost) everything

McCarthy 6 - panicky paddy returns (breifly)

Stearman 6 - kept being caught out and pulled into the middle

Sylla 4 - sh*te; run past people man! not at them

Joey 7 - before the penno i hadn't noticed he was playing

Kisnorbo 3 - the idea is to pass it forwards every now and then, gains a point for his long throws

Smith 8* -lcfc man of the match

Hume 6 - lost the ball to often won some good headers though

Hammond 7 - kept having to do syllas work

Dublin

de Vries 4 - did he come on?! gains points for giving their slow ball boys grief

Rab - 5 - Scares me.

Stearman - 5 - beaten too easily to often. Also seemed to panic with the ball at his feet.

Maybury - 7 - not bad, seemed eager to get forward and solid in the challenge. Linked up with Smith well.

Gerrbrand - 7 - Worst I've seen him play but still solid, although occasionally too casual with his passing. Generally good though.

McCarthy - 5 - Good game, shame he ruined it. Fair enough the lino was an arse but don't carry on after you've been booked for foul and abusive language (although I've been known to do that a bit in my time  )

Sylla - 5 - Half decent first half awful second. Lacked effort and was really frustrating. Most inconsistant player I might have ever seen.

Kisnorbo - 4 - Beaten easily, literally played about 4 passes in a forwards direction all game. I thought he would at least prove his worth with breaking up their attacks but he proved himself not to be capable of this either.

Gudjonsson - 7 - Did his usual thing but without as much success this week, like Gerrbrand it maybe his worst performance of the season but still not bad.

Smith - 8 - Better first half than second, seemed to tire and get tackled a bit too easily in the second. Pure class though.

Hammond - 6 - Didn't really get much service but tried hard. Did he have a shot? I canny remember.

Hume - 6 - First touch buddy, sort it art.

Rab 6 Hardly troubled,Dodgy kicking as usual

Maybo 6 Steady, tried to get forward

Gerbs 8 Pure class

Paddy 7 The new Walshie, won virtually every challenge

Stear 6 Kept Lewis quiet ,solid display

Momo 6 Little end product but decent game

Joey 8 Mom. Tireless effort kept us on top for most of match

Nobbo 6 Unspectacular but a grafter-if only he had Williams ability

Smudge 7 Quality but a bit fragile today, tired towards end

Elvis 6 100% trier but couldn't carve out a clear chance

Huume 6 Ditto one or two miscontrols at crucial times.

I still can't believe we lost ,dominating possession, territory, more shots and more corners, away at the 3rd placed team.CL must not lose his nerve after this setback;replace Paddy against Stoke but otherwise same again. This team could give someone a real pasting.

Douglas - 6

Can't be blamed for the goals conceded. However, he looked shaky on set pieces again. Hesistant on his decision making.

Stearman - 6

Struggled in the first half. He allowed their left winger (Lewis) too much time and space to cross the ball and create chances. He also gave the ball away numerous of times, but he improved after the break both defensively and offensively.

McCarthy - 7

Dealt with Hulse well (Apart from the weak challenge, which led to Hulse hitting the crossbar with his header) and seemed comfortable throughout. He only has himself to blame for being a **** twat for being sent off. Yes, you can't question his passion, but he went too far in facing the lino face to face to argue the decision for their secoond goal.

Gerrbrand - 7

Another composed performance.

Maybury - 7

A solid performance defensively and attempted to support Smith going forward.

Sylla - 5

A lively first half performance was wasted by a lacklustre second. He always seems to spend too long on the ball before deciding on what he wants to do.

Gudjonsson - 8

MOM. He was everywhere again and was the centre of most of our play.

Kisnorbo - 6

A little too slow when in posession of the ball and often caught in posession when attempting to support the attack. He does get about the pitch well, but he simply doesn't have the footballing brain to play in the front four.

Smith - 7

Looked our best bet for creating goals with his direct running and skill, but he often had 2 players opposing him, which restricted his threat.

Hume - 5

His first touch was poor and therefore didn't allow us to retain the ball in their half as much as we would have liked.

Hammond - 6

Plenty of running and effort, but failed to get in a position to score or create danger. I can only think of one effort in the first half when Sylla put him through on the right side, where he forced Sullivan to tip around the post from a wide angle.

Subs:

de Vries - 5

Offered a different option - not to much effect though.

Dublin - 4

Won a few headers, but nowt else.

Douglas 5 - poor kicking and general dithering.

Maybury 7 - steady, with plenty of energy.

Gerrbrand 6 - another sound performance.

McCarthy 4 - blew his brains out.

Stearman 6 - first half he played like Bambi, but got better in the 2nd.

Sylla 5 - a mixture of sublime skill and complete indifference.

Joey 7 - everything good seemed to involve him.

Kisnorbo 5 - didn't bring much to the party.

Smith 7- another good game, would have got 8 but for some wayward final balls.

Hume 6 - worked hard, not his day.

Hammond 6 - gave it everything, but control continually let him down.

Very objective. Pity you don't muck in with the radio commentary.

First mention I've read of the two men on Smith (as in other matches). Seems like our coaches have a lot to do:- Hume and Hammond's control; using the space available if two mark Smith and re-thinking our free-kicks and corners.
