If the club doesn't do testimonials in the future could UFS do personal tifos instead?

I hope so, we had a design ready for King. Albrighton will certainly need something too.

Since Albrighton isn't going to renew his contract at the end of the season. Could we do a joint Vardy/Sharky tifo?

IF he plays and shows form between now and the season ending - we get promoted and he was interested in renewing we would be mad on revised terms NOT to have him in the squad next season - his experience off the bench and training with Cannon alone could be invaluable …..I do agree that it cannot be on his current wages …..he may accept this and want to be here and accept significantly reduced terms……

140k 2 years ago was a mistake. We were way too sentimental with our legends giving them long big paying contracts even when not playing. Morgan Fuchs Albrighton etc

 

If he renewed his contract it would need to be something in 30k region and on 1 year contract. Would be very surprised if he accepted that tbf

Not even that, we have been spending above our means on wages and certainly for the new FFP.

 

New structure would perhaps be something like.

 

60-80k for best performing experienced/loyal first teamers.  No more than 4-5 players.

30-40k for less experienced first teamers, younger players.

20k for squad players.

 

Quite a drop from what we have been paying the past few years, but unless we get a sudden large increase in turnover this will be closer to the reality.

Mine too, some part of me really likes it that out of all the players from that era, it’s one of the more unassuming players who got it. Albrighton had a wonderful Champions League campaign to be fair.
