Hi all

 

bit of a random one….

 

our car had its MOT and planned service recently, on a used car we purchased from a business 11 months ago. 
 

The car failed its MOT, with a long list of failures. The mechanic strongly believing some of the failures/advisories were due to (in his opinion) that the vehicle had been involved previously in a  collision. He listed his views why.
 

The vehicle when purchased was not listed as CAT C/N

 

he also highlighted that the airbag light bulb was not present, I.e it was removed before purchase.

 

we contacted the seller who argued/dismissed all points.

 

Do we have grounds for complaint?

Pm me your reg and I'll run an HPI to see if it has been registered as a Cat C/N if that helps?

If you can prove it's a total loss (showing on hpi etc) and you bought it from a dealership/garage then yes you have a very good case for taking it back for a full refund.
