Run 23 of Prostate United challenge completed, 121km and over 75 miles in the bag and now down to the last 8 runs to complete the challenge of completing a 5km run each and every day of October to raise awareness and money for Prostate Cancer UK.
 

That was a slow one today, hit a bit of a wall and felt so leggy but then I remember why I am doing this, all the people who have reached out with their own personal experiences of this disease, and this gives me the inspiration and the motivation to push on. 

This is a disease that affects 1 in 8 men and takes a life every 45 minutes anything we can do to help raise awareness and money that can be reinvested in developing treatments, cures and increasing screening/testing programmes.

Run 24 of Prostate United challenge completed, now smashed through  the 125km barrier. Just 7 more runs and 1 week left until I complete the challenge of running  5km each and every day of October to raise awareness and money for Prostate Cancer UK.
 

The aches and pains have truly set in now, joints, ankle and knee are far from happy with me but the cause and the many people who have reached out with their experiences of this disease act as a real source of motivation to complete this challenge and raise as much money and very importantly awareness for such a great cause. 

This is a disease that affects 1 in 8 men and takes a life every 45 minutes anything we can do to help raise awareness and money that can be reinvested in developing treatments, cures and increasing screening/testing programmes.

Run 25 complete and now down to the last 6 to complete my Prostate United challenge of completing a 5km run each and every day of October to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK

 

1 in 8 men will suffer this awful disease. To put this into perspective of the 32,500 crowd at King Power stadium tonight over 80% will be male, which means it is likely that over 3,400 of tonight’s crowd will end up as a sufferer of this disease, even in a crowd of 10,000 over 1,000 will end up as a sufferer, this disease takes a life every 45 minutes, this is why I undertake this challenge and why I ask everyone to share, repost and if you can please make a donation to this amazing cause by clicking the link to my just giving page below.

137 km and 85 miles run, mentally and fitness wise i feel amazing but physically my legs have absolutely gone now but can’t tell you how much the shares, messages of support and obviously the donations help to keep me going, so please keep them coming as it really is a great motivation.

Please please talk about it post on forums,  visit the Prostate Cancer Uk website be aware of the symptoms, notice the little changes and get regular checks and screening, this is not an old men’s disease. Encourage you mates, brothers, uncles, cousins, dad to get checked. Early detection is key, ignorance is not bliss where this is concerned.

Run 2️⃣9️⃣ complete and what an experience to run round the King Power Stadium, Leicester City FC have been absolutely superb today, although ended up running a lot further than 5km as garmin signal glitched behind each goal 😂😂😂
