Do they check ID on the coach?

Just booked tickets for the Newcastle match and Fox Travel.  I can’t go but my lads are going with a friend.  Friend is a STH but is at work at the moment so can’t log in to his account.  I’ve booked him a ticket for the game on my account and just hoping we’re not randomly selected to collect our match tickets on the day.  

I’ve booked Fox Travel coach travel too, again on my account.  The booking email says to print it off, and this is the coach ticket.  But obviously it’s got my name on it, instead of friend.  Do they check ID when you get on the coach?  He's male and I'm female with a female name, so he's pretty obviously not me!!

If memory serves me right ive never had to show ID when getting on the coach. I think they are only interested in the number of people.

 

Though it has been a while since ive used Fox Travel (FA Cup Final the last time) So security may have tightened

We have used it a few times and they ask for the names of the passengers booked on so if its obvious the names dont match the gender of the people trying to board the coach it may cause an issue. Suppose its your/there call wether you chance it or not

One of my friends couldn't make it as was ill so someone else to their place. It was obvious it wasn't the same person so just told them when ticking off the name that the person was ill & no questions asked
