So you're happy to accuse others of a "not my job" attitude, and yet you do absolutely nothing yourself to try and improve things, despite boasting about your experience doing exactly this

And it's not a Q&A, if you wanted another ego massage you could go on another podcast

So rapey this could be a 2am whiskey-fuelled post.

Digital away tickets will be fun.

Piss the priority one ticket sellers off no end.

So let’s be clear Leicester City Football Club no longer has any control over the Digital Ticketing conversation as long as they play in the Premier League it is now a compliance issue. In June 2024 the EPL Board as announced August 2nd 2024 that by August 2026 all tickets in the EPL will be digital. No more discussion. Away supporters tickets to be digital by next season. Promoted clubs get 2 years to comply. In that announcement clubs had to discuss roadmaps with fans which is what it seems is being done. The discussion is pace and exceptions. What was not announced was what full digital means and what concessions. I have heard that 75% plus is the EPL target for next season whether that is accurate I can find no documentation but it seems likely. The discussion for us now is the extent of concessions. If we focus on we do not like the decision we will achieve nothing the EPL is not going to reverse hence I believe the word acceptance.

The PL target for next season is 70% digital ticket compliance of the overall attendance (so ST & match tickets combined)

Otherwise your post is spot on.

The main areas to focus on is the exemption criteria (as you stated) but also the terms around it, like how many games can be transferred to friends, as other “all digital” clubs have a much higher number of games than our current season rules

There's an article about Mobile ticketing on the Premier League website.

https://www.premierleague.com/news/4071456

The article dates 2nd Aug 2024 said:

"Digital ticketing will become a mandatory requirement for all existing Premier League clubs by no later than Season 2026/27. Newly promoted clubs will have a period of two years to implement its use upon joining the League."

One thing that amused me was in the introduction where it asked "What is digital ticketing?" and it stated:

"A digital ticket is one that is delivered electronically, most commonly to a mobile phone. It allows clubs to assign each Home or Away match ticket to an assigned supporter who is registered with the club"

With the demise of ipods, what else is there to download it to?   I've got visions of someone holding up their laptop to the turnstile scanner ..............

They're just setting it up for future decisions to show they've consulted before deciding.

Appreciate that, but it would be useful to know who were the ones saying anything and why.

Having actions also gives opportunities for follow up with the person who has that action.

However, having read on, sounds like the club doesn't want too much of that. Could be wrong, time will tell I guess.

In those discussions there surely must have been some dissenting voices, they should publish who was for and against suggestions like the move to digital ticketing.

Oh I agree.

Jesus wept.

There was a literal outcry about digital ticketing and a total LACK of acceptance from the wider fan base.

The only acceptance involved was when they ripped an extra £25 for a tiny piece if plastic off people that complained they wanted physical cards - for all sorts of legitimate reasons - and we all just bent over and accepted it dry.

The swelling of numbers in the Foxes Trust has done nothing to make it more effective, just to highlight what an absolute patsy the group is when it comes to standing up to the club on any issue.

Just to comment, those from our campaign that have been elected to the board of the Trust are only able to start work after being ratified at the AGM on Monday 13th January.

Change has, and will, come at the Trust, unfortunately it's just taking a little longer than we'd all have hoped!

Well done for progressing this, unlike so many on here that just moan and do nothing.
