Leicester 3 Everton 1 Season 1985

I went to this game and can remember Mark Bright scoring two great goals from outside of the box!

 

Has anyone ever seen any televised highlights from this game?

I seem to remember as a young boy expecting this to be shown on central news the following Monday! But There was nothing which was a surprise given the high profile debut of Gary Lineker  for Everton!!

 

Any help much appreciated as at the moment this Mark Bright brace is just a distant memory!

This may help, I remember MOTD being off air for a while, article seems to suggest the start of the season was a blackout on TV and pretty sure that game was the first match of 85/86?

Sadly the cameras  weren't at the game. Wonder if the club did private recordings of games from that period?  Charlton Athletic did and many are on on youtube no commentry  and the quality not great but they have many full matches on including Charlton v Leicester from 1981/82 won 4_1 and the 1982/83 fixture lost 2_1

Everton did their own video recording of the away game that season. It's on YouTube. 

 

But if it meant spending 40 quid to video a game ourselves, then we'd definitely have swerved that. That's exactly how the Terry Shipman years rolled.

They thought hard about buying Grass Seed in those days. Video recordings  would have been way down the list.

They did some recordings of full games in the 89/90 season as I had one of us beating Leeds 4-3. To my knowledge that was the first and only season they then hired Visionsport to do the end of season review videos from 90/91 onwards.

The club did record games, they were shown live in the Belvoir Suite (the original one) on a weird hybrid of a tv and projector. I seem to remember a player being given the tape of his motm performance only for his missus to record Corrie on it and lose it forever.

Charlton also have the game against  the foxes on in full from the 1986/87 season Steve Walsh sent off after 23 minutes  for elbowing  Jim Melrose we lost 2_0
