There can be no doubt that Levien's tenure at LCFC, all things considered, has been a very disappointing one. The all things considered being the club infrastructure which is probably the best in the division (certainly better than Reading and Sheffield United).

Whether Levein's tenure goes on to being an unmitigated disaster is very much in the hands of Crewe, Brighton et al waking up to our mediocrity and realising they probably only have to marginally improve upon the performance of Gillingham last year to stay up. Yes folks, we are EXACTLY ON COURSE to match the Gills impressive season target of 50 points (God that make me feel so proud!)

We know we can't win away. We don't do back-to-back. We can kid ourselves (well, some of us can) that we can play some 'good stuff' (in front of our own back four) but we can't kid ourselves that our consistent long term average is little better than a point a game.

I'm no longer into opinions. I'm into probabilities. We have a high probability of only getting 50 points this season. Last year 21 teams beat that target. As a gambling man (who never bets against his team) I think that the chances of 21 other teams bettering this total is about 50/50. So we have a difficult choice on our hands. Will we bumble along to safety or will we be stung by insects like Crewe and Brighton?

For me everything should rest on the Xmas/New Year programme. I say 'should' because nothing is ever clear cut with Levein. Just when you need that bad defeat against goddam awful opposition we sneak a draw. That's where the danger lies. Levein is a professional water muddier. And he''l go on muddying the waters until the last game of the season.

Then things will become clear and we well be relegated. The shame of it. And to think that most of you are roaring him on to it. The answer is very simple and extremely logical. The board will have to pay-up the remainder of Levein's contract and bring someone in who will be prepared to work on a six month deal.

That someone wil have something that Levein lacks. FORCE OF PERSONALITY. Not gibberish about 4 4 2 or 4 3 3 or 4 5 1 (Thracian don't you realise that this is all bullshit to keep super annuated buffoons on the managerial merry-go-round or were you really found under a cabbage leaf?).

That someone goes by the name of Steve Walsh.

Personally I hope we do get relegated, it's been a boyhood dream of mine.

Mornin Chandler...

Me, I think you're as negative as one side of my car battery and that, eloquent as you are, you go on and on in exactly the same dank and dismal way like dripping rain in the Pennines.

You remind me of the Grim Reaper, only appearing when you sense a soul is ailing.

Well, Leicester's soul may still be troubled but the hopelessness that fueled its grief is being gradually lifted and the only real threats to it now are the Prophets of Doom, championed by youself, who would drag it back in the abbyss, weighed down by irrational and nebulous doubts.

Get thee gone, Satan. Let the sun shine through!

I should applaud you Thracian for the restrained tone of your response. But as I am a mean spirited old git I won't.

I won't even congratulate you on your inspired casting of me as the Grim Reaper as you know the bell tolls for thee.

May Adams have mercy on your soul...
