Fans turn a blind eye but it’s Rudkin’s biggest achievement here to date. I’m led to believe Rudkin oversaw the whole academy setup at Seagrave. The amount of youth that has stepped up to the first team at both training grounds under Rudkin is never highlighted!

Yeah because that’s what he actually specialises in. Before he stepped up he was the academy director for years and I’m not slating him here but the difference of being an academy director to them being the director of football for the whole club, is absolutely massive.

100%, it’s obvious he’s out of his depth in his current role but obviously has something about him on the youth side.

One thing I find interesting though is even Albrighton seemed to suggest that Seagrave made the players more comfortable (I think on Fosters’ podcast?)

That's down to player recruitment i reckon.

You'll have one set of players turn up and think wow look at this place I really need to push on and show my worth and then another set think **** me I've made and just sit back and lose their drive.  Sadly most of our recent recruitment has been the latter.

Called people ostriches, fight a pack of wild dogs wearing shiny white trainers and brought in some female Thai "entertainers"?

God I miss him.

Luckily Nige is still with us. God among men

Perhaps some of this and it's not Monty Python:D

A wonderful insight into life as a footballer back in the 1940s, with the late great Nat Lofthouse OBE as a Bevin boy, a young man conscripted to work down the mines between 1943 -1948.
His Saturday would consist of 3.30am get up to catch 4.30 tram to work, 8 hour shift underground before being picked up by the team bus to play for Bolton in the afternoon. Nat also played for England scoring an amazing 30 goals in only 33 matches 👏🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
