I can remember Jim Melrose, a coach and a youth team player coming to our primary school for a q&a. The Mercury also had access to all levels of the club to keep fans informed even when things weren’t going so well on the pitch.

I used to go to these on Friday nights, genuinely scared to look at the pictures.

edit- I think these are a few years before I went based on the shirts.

I went a couple of times in the 90s. I remember more kids wearing Man Utd shirts there than Leicester

Looks like someone had a sweet left foot. Used to love the pin stripe shirts even though the green was unlucky

Jack Curtis doing his thing. I used to get really nervous beforehand. I can't recall too much about them apart from the nerves and it feeling very exciting to be there.

Sorry for any trauma caused.

I remember going on a tour round Filbert Street with my 11 year old daughter led by Jack Curtis. That was 1994 just after the Carling Stand was built and had just enjoyed the play off win over Derby. We had lunch at Strikers which was at the Filbert Street end. Staff were very friendly and my daughter loved it.

Even us 90s kids had something to do with the club. They used to send coaches to the Primary Schools for a few sessions and then at the end a player would come and present a trophy.

Still got my Leicester City penalty king trophy from Rearsby Primary School from the early 2000s. Never missed.
