Highs and Low's of the Year

Recommended Posts

It is a different thread from the best and worst parts of the year. You can express what you feel have been the positives and negatives of the year:

Negative:

*Losing to Burnley at home

*Losing to Forest at home

*"our" fans chanting town full of bombers when QPR deservedly beat us

*Only winning one away match all year!

* Scum Dickov scoring a late peno in the quarter finals of the cup against us.

* Signing Mark De-vries, Kisornobo, Sylla, Hammond to replace players

*Getting rid of Gillespie and replacing him with Sylla

* "our fans" forcing the manager to get rid of a sound left back, Jordan Stewart, and replacing him for 10 times the amount with.....Peter Gilbert

* losing 4-1 to Sheffield United at the start of the season when we should have won

*David Connoly leaving on transfer Deadline...He had already scored four goals this season.

* Losing late goals to bolton and stoke in games which we could and perhaps should of won

* One of our best prespects, James wesolowski, breaking his leg in a "friendly" against Celtic.

*Now winning a championship match in 3 months

*Facing the prospect of successive relegations

*Micky adams won 3 games away in 2 months before he was forced out...Levein has won just two in a year!

*releasing Ian walker and signing Rab douglas in his place

*Alan Sheehan getting an oppurtuinity to impress and blowing it!

*Levein choosing Big Rab over Henderson

*The poor form ot Tiatto and Williams

Positive:

* Nathan Blake, Trever Benjamin, Scot Gemmil, Dabizaz, Pressman all leaving our club

*Signing Steven Hughes, Ian Hume, Mcarthy. Nissa, Gerrbrand and Ryan Smith

*The form of Joey Gudjohnson

* Long cup runs in the FA cup and League cup...We were unlucky in both

*Taking 6,000 fans to Blackburn and a great day out at Derby

*The club is slowly moving in the right direction....We can go up in the next two or three years.

 great way to sum the year up

thats about the size of it.. its particularly great because it did look as though they might just scrape it.. but oh know the little feckers weren't getting away with it that easily.. and better yet it doesn't look like they'll be joining us next season, although.. if we keep it up, we could be joining them =/

sort it Levein.. sort it

Negative:

- Losing to any team at home last season

- Especially, losing to Forest at home

- The chants at the QPR game

- Pretty much every away game

- The controversial penalty that put us out of the FA cup at Blackburn

- Selling Jordan Stewart for a poxy £125,000

- Losing 4-1 at Sheffield United after dominating for 80 minutes

- Selling David Connolly to Wigan - for football reasons

- Losing in extra-time at Bolton in the League Cup

- Being in the relegation mire at Christmas

- Not getting the results we deserve from our performances of late

- From a personal view, being banned :(

Positive:

- Selling David Connolly to Wigan for financial reasons

- Signing Hughesy, Humey, Gerrbrand and Ryan Smith

- Long-term contracts being given to several players so we look like a more settled team

- Great FA Cup wins at Reading and Charlton

- Taking more than 6,000 fans to Blackburn and having a great day until Dicko scored

- The atmosphere at the Walkers improving over the last few games

- Great win against Sheffield United at home to avenge for the opening day loss

- The football we are playing is more attractive

- Levein is steering us in the right direction, stick with him, give him a chance

For everyone singing Jordan Stewarts praises.

Go down to Vicarage road and ask them if Jordan Stewart is a sound left back.

For anyone not singin Jordan Stewart's praises, ask me if Danny Tiatto and Nissa Johansson are sound left backs <_<
