Feels ridiculous to say this, one swallow doesn't make a summer and all that, but whilst that was generally a shocking performance the one thing it actually showed was a bit of grit. Something I can't remember happening for years and certainly something you wouldn't associate with this group of players.

 

Not suggesting that they've turned a corner but there was at least one tiny crumb of a positive.

Agree. Some of the blocks from their shots showed it. And Stolarczyk making saves like he did today adds to it. 

 

You'd hope this breeds a bit of confidence but it's not something to be totally relied upon. It's a good foundation to have knowing that that grit and determination is in there somewhere. Shouldn't be used as an excuse for a poor performance, too.

I'd say all of the back 4 and keeper showed it today. We didn't play well but that was a big positive.

I was in Charlton's covered end today and whilst his distribution was w@nk Okoli was fighting for everything against a very physical side. Vesty also put a shift in and Hamza was roundly praised by Charlton fans after they had stopped calling him a cvnt.

Hamza has to stay.  He’s very limited as a player but him and Okoli were the two really injecting energy into the he. He also spent a lot of time encouraging Page and Monga.
