Can't think of a boxer who got people to follow him like Ricky Hatton.

 

There might be boxers who have drawn in bigger PPV figures or filled out bigger venues but Ricky had 10s of thousands following him to Vegas for his Mayweather and Pacquiao fights. The only name that comes to mind is how Conor McGregor had his fans flying to the US for his fights.

My favourite British fighter of all time, I got Sky around the time he was being featured early in his career. Stayed up for the Mayweather fight and was gutted he didn’t get the better of him. 
 

I’ve been doing some freelance writing and did this article earlier if anyone fancies a trip down memory lane. RIP Ricky.
