Still time for him to come good and I don't think he's at the level that Brighton will end up keeping. With his contract up in the summer we might be able to pick up a player that in time becomes a very good EFL or lower end PL player. Brighton have a few examples of this happening with.

 

The one thing that fitness, form and confidence won't alter much though is he's pretty slow for an attacking midfielder. Again will probably prevent him from being considered elite worthy and why we could get a good pick up on a free.

If you're 21 and spending a 3 consecutive season on loan in League 1, especially considering those previous stints were pretty successful, it's safe to say he's never going to make it at Brighton. That's not a comment on his potential or ability, just the fact that your club clearly doesn't have any faith in you.

 

Don't think he's quite as slow as people made our but I do totally get why that's the view. Hoping it is just that he's not fully up to speed/confident which does have an effect. He's got 1 massive advantage in that he's genuinely two footed which will help compensate for the lack of pace in lots of situations, as long as he gets a bit stronger and sharper in general. I didn't pay too much attention to the 2nd half yesterday but again, don't think he was quite as bad as people made out but do completely understand how people came to that conclusion at the same time.

Did alright but I think he's the type that he looks like he is flagging more than he actually is. He isn't match fit right now, but I still think we'll be questioning that even when he's at 100% to be honest, he just has that very laidback style where he looks like he isn't in a game and then will effortlessly skip past a player 5mins later.
