I assume winners don't  get a ticket.

It's kind of like a carrot being dangled as a reward, except the carrot gets shoved up your ****.

Unsure if anyone on here has seen but the Blue Light Card App has a sports ticket ballot.

We've had several fixtures - possibly all - listed on there this season. Certainly the last 2 and the upcoming 2.

You've got to assume, therefore, that the club are A) aware of the declining attendance and B) doing whatever they can to inflate numbers in the stadium.

Whilst this is, in some ways, a positive it does raise a few issues.

I'm paying for this shite and it seems a little egregious that STHs are paying a premium - Premier League prices remember - and they're being given away in other areas. Our premium payment is, in effect, funding a shortfall. If the club have declining attendance numbers then perhaps make tickets more accessible to general fans and more reasonably priced.

The Members and waiting list are clearly not doing enough to pick up the slack. In a little over 18 months they've eroded a whole phalanx of people actually wanting to come into the stadium.

Also, why is this being offered out to a group of people that aren't local? I'm positive that there aren't many of the general population looking at these tickets and relishing the chance but if we're giving away freebies then the benefactors of this should be local fans, not the general population. I would 100% prefer groups of potential new fans - school kids and the like - given the chance to go rather than folks looking for something to do.

In isolation this might seem trivial but adjacent to everything else it's yet another step in the wrong direction. If I were cynical I might suggest that it's a deliberate ploy to get people into the stadium that won't boo and cajole.

Last season when sales were poor this was suggested at the Fan Engagement and applied to odd games. It looks like this is continuing. I don’t think its a lot of tickets. Not sure if it was the Trust who raised this cannot remember. At small numbers I am OK with this. I don’t think many gold plated retired civil servants are chasing tickets to watch Leicester.
