Unsure if anyone on here has seen but the Blue Light Card App has a sports ticket ballot.

We've had several fixtures - possibly all - listed on there this season. Certainly the last 2 and the upcoming 2.

You've got to assume, therefore, that the club are A) aware of the declining attendance and B) doing whatever they can to inflate numbers in the stadium.

Whilst this is, in some ways, a positive it does raise a few issues.

I'm paying for this shite and it seems a little egregious that STHs are paying a premium - Premier League prices remember - and they're being given away in other areas. Our premium payment is, in effect, funding a shortfall. If the club have declining attendance numbers then perhaps make tickets more accessible to general fans and more reasonably priced.

The Members and waiting list are clearly not doing enough to pick up the slack. In a little over 18 months they've eroded a whole phalanx of people actually wanting to come into the stadium.

Also, why is this being offered out to a group of people that aren't local? I'm positive that there aren't many of the general population looking at these tickets and relishing the chance but if we're giving away freebies then the benefactors of this should be local fans, not the general population. I would 100% prefer groups of potential new fans - school kids and the like - given the chance to go rather than folks looking for something to do.

In isolation this might seem trivial but adjacent to everything else it's yet another step in the wrong direction. If I were cynical I might suggest that it's a deliberate ploy to get people into the stadium that won't boo and cajole.

Dropping the ticket prices wont help,  my family have 4 season tickets,

But theres no way people that are only semi committed are going to pay even a reduced price to come and watch us play inept football and inevitably get spanked. To be fair wven a free ticket would make people think is it still worth the effort,

Its because the football as been so bad for so long, people wont chance it.

They've been giving tickets away for ages. Best example was Oxford last season when dummy decided to show up, there were literally blocks completely empty then overnight they filled up when it was confirmed he was coming.

Saving face is a big thing in Thailand.

Blue Light Card holders being given tickets is a good thing. These people should be rewarded (that said, i'm not sure a Leicester City home ticket is a reward these days).

Well, at least they're used to seeing car crashes and other disasters, so can probably deal with one of our home games better than your average fan.

The BLC criteria is farcical, some of these are first responders and the rest are just freeloaders

Ah yeah social care workers and teachers are famous for being freeloaders

I think a good example would be a retired head teacher on a juicy public sector pension being handed out discounts and freebies, when they could clearly afford to pay themselves. No-one is disputing front line services, as with all these type of things there are people getting something for nothing.

No one that list is a freeloader imo.

They had expanded the criteria in recent years. Obviously they are a business and wanted to grow.

They are based just off the 46 outside of Syston.

Who do you think is a freeloader on that list?

Wouldn’t describe them as freeloaders but there’s plenty on that list who’d be on big whack (60k +) plus gold plated pension

Wasn't aware of that, just entered the ballot for the next two Leicester games. Probably won't bother going but curious to see the chances of winning are

Assume this is why C2 is already appearing as sold out for a rescheduled Tuesday night game against Wigan? lol

Maybe some of the optometrists can have a look at our strikers?

you didn't work through your lunch break mate? lol

Come on, I wouldn't want to completely take the piss lol

FWIW, I have applied for every game on there so far out of interest and haven't been successful once, so can't imagine the number is too big.

Nothing? BLC membership costs £5 every two years don't you know, darling.

The coastguards could be useful as well, because whole team looks all at sea.
