Libertine Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 from teamtalk.com Kisnorbo could face Eagles Leicester boss Craig Levein may have Patrick Kisnorbo available again at Crystal Palace after the full-back missed the defeat to Norwich. Kisnorbo had to withdraw from the Foxes squad on Saturday due to illness but could return at Selhurst Park. Danny Tiatto and Alan Sheehan could also come back into the squad after being left out against the Canaries, despite being available again after suspensions. Levein may choose to rotate his strikers after they fired another blank against Norwich, so Elvis Hammond could be in line for a start. Patrick Gerrbrand is a doubt after suffering a hamstring injury, while long-term casualties James Wesolowski (broken leg) and Lee Morris (knee) are still missing.
filbertway Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 If kisnorbo plays thats got to be one of the final nails in CL's coffin. Williams played well didn't he? And he is not a better full back than maybury or stearman.
Chimp Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Tiatto? Please god no. Surely CL has more sense than that, Tiatto shouldn't grace the field or the bench ever again. Sheehan? Yes, get him firmly establshed in the LB role, starting from now. In 3-4 games he would have settled down into the first team and we'll start seeing the kind of performances from him that he's supposed to be capable of. Yes, it's a risk, but something has to be done about that left side. Kisnorbo? No. Williams and Joey make a good midfield pairing and some of the passes that Williams made yesterday are what we've been missing for a long time. Put Kisnorbo on the becnh and bring him on if Williams goes AWOL as he's done in the past. Hammond and Hume up front? No question this is the way to go. MDV on the bench.
Anish Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 I've got a bad feeling that Kisnorbo will replace Joey in midfield I'd like to see Sheehan given another go, and put Johansson in at centre back which is his natural position.
Scow Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 If Kisnorbo and Tiatto play in the same team tomorrow, then I've lost all hope.
ROSSINDA Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 I've got a bad feeling that Kisnorbo will replace Joey in midfield I'd like to see Sheehan given another go, and put Johansson in at centre back which is his natural position. I personally don’t want to see the arsehole even on the bench, but knowing Craig “The Tactician†Levein it wouldn’t surprise me if he dropped Williams even after that fine display of passing (something “Kissuseless†couldn’t do even in his wildest dreams) for him. As for Sheehan well he has the chance yesterday but he favoured a right back in the position, and like Johansson, Maybury is capable of doing a job there but he doesn’t look totally comfortable
Ultra Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 But if we agree that Smith must play, then it would be a massive risk having another teenager playing behind him. The Sheehan-Smith combination wasn't a great success last time it was used and I don't blame CL for steering well clear of it. Kisnorbo or Maybury aren't the ideal choices for left-back but right now they're the best options available.
City Fan Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 If Kisnorbo and Tiatto play in the same team tomorrow, then I've lost all hope. But if Levein brought Wilcox back from Blackpool and put him straight in the squad, that would be alright?
Ash Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Now Kisnorbo is back we might have a chance of winning the game. Yeh right !
shadowman Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 kisnorbo rubbish have gareth williams and joey gudjohnson in the centre brillant partnership.
Scow Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 But if Levein brought Wilcox back from Blackpool and put him straight in the squad, that would be alright? Of course it would. Because Jase provides width and discipline on the left.
