TornadoShaunUK Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 whats the betting that Levein comes out with a 4-5-1 formation against Palace and Spurs? I'd wager what with them being in the top 5 he'll be after a point and for spurs I duno I guess he'll want to try and hit them on the counter or something..
martyn Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 There is absolutely no point playing 4-5-1, we hardly had a shot against Reading and with Calamity Rab ready to increase Andy Johnson's penalty statistics, I can't see a clean sheet happening. So 4-5-1 it is then.
Chimp Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 I dunno, given we play much better in a 4-4-2, whether that's at home or away, one would think CL would stick to this formation. After all, the only time the 4-5-1 formation has had any significant result was against Bolton yonks ago when we had a fully fit midfield. Wait, what am I saying... this is CL we're talking about where logic, comon sense and learning from past experiences doesn't necessarily dictate his next move. Please CL, just stick to 4-4-2.
FNQ Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Levein is out of control and panicing. He's totally beat. It's anyones guess what he will come up with against palace.
ROSSINDA Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 He played a 3-6-1 at Hearts once. Scowy, you’re having a laugh surely?
Libertine Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Tis true I'm afraid. It was in a UEFA cup match.
Bert Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Tis true I'm afraid. It was in a UEFA cup match. Another point to prove he doesn't really know what he is doing.
ROSSINDA Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Tis true I'm afraid. It was in a UEFA cup match. How did they do?
martyn Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 I'm sure that was against Bordeaux, a tie which Hearts won for one of the biggest successes in their history....

Chimp Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 You just had to say it didn't you, that they won (Ha Ha) Right, job done then, 3-6-1 it is against Spurs then... Rab McCarthy- Dublin - Gerrbrand Hammond - Hughes - Kisnorbo - Joey - Williams - Smith Hume ...hey, that'll work, I'm sure of it!
