Thracian Posted 28 January 2006 Share Posted 28 January 2006 How about two legends in charge at Leicester - Neil Lennon and Steve Walsh - with Rob Kelly, Mike Stowell and Dion Dublin assisting? Would it galvanize the fans, fill the stands again and give us the charismatic leadership we need to chase the dragon again? Or do the Peter Reid, Steve Cotterill types sound a better bet? Babylon Posted 28 January 2006 Share Posted 28 January 2006 Who do you want in then, mate? Depends on finances. Someone who has had long term success would be my preference (ie.Dave Penney) but they cost in compensation. If we don't have the money for that I would rather go for someone untried, like the setup Ireland have at the moment, Lennon but with an old head is interesting. That may not be what we need at the minute though, although it's only as big a risk as getting a failed manager ie Gregory, Reid, Gary Mac. Nostalgia won't win us games, besides.. it's the players that need to respond, not the fans. An experienced No1 with a "Leicester" No2 or .. an experienced No 2 with a "Leicester" No1 We can't afford to have 3 out of 5 of the backroom staff inexperienced. Or do the Peter Reid, Steve Cotterill types sound a better bet? It was reported by the Glasgow Herald online yesterday (Friday) that quote: - "While he admitting to feeling attracted to the job, Lennon let it be known yesterday that it is not going to happen. Moreover, Celtic have just offered Lennon a new one-year contract for season 2006-07. "Neil loves Leicester and wants to go into management at some stage but, first and foremost, he wants to win the championship again with Celtic, so he won't be going anywhere in the immediate future," said Martin Reilly, the player's agent in Glasgow". Has something changed his mind?

What do you have against Steve Cotterill apart from the 4-5-1? He'd probably be alot more successful than the others you've mentioned
