But this is all a bit strange, I'd have thought that we'd have persisted with Cotterill if we thought there was a real chance of us getting him. Barber says Preston are denying that they've been approached at all, but that there are a lot of rumours around. Does that mean it's all rubbish or that he's not actually turned us down? Someone told me last week that he had made an approach to the club himself!
