The People's Hero Posted 17 February 2006 Posted 17 February 2006 Yeah, that is in Maidstone. Come back. Have a beer with me.
Ric Flair Posted 17 February 2006 Posted 17 February 2006 Yeah, that is in Maidstone. Come back. Have a beer with me. It's a shame it's not 1991/92 all over again and City made the short trip down there for a horrible cup game, opportunity for a massive piss up on tour with the boyz!
Guest Posted 17 February 2006 Posted 17 February 2006 Best pub is the newly refurbished Rutland and Derby. Quality beers, and just like the Walkers will be soon, completely NON-SMOKING!!! Couldn't ask for more!!!! As is the Highcross (except the ladies loos).
Durnerz Posted 17 February 2006 Posted 17 February 2006 Loughborough for me, i've not really sampled Leicesters Nightlife. Phantom, Amber Rooms, Sidewalk and Vice Versa usually my places.

I used to idle my evenings away in the Blacksmiths Arms, The Griffin, the Firkin and the Orange Tree. Dunno what Luff is like these days....not been out there for about 4 years. And Echo's....what a dirty, dirty club.

Loughboroughs a top night out, mainly as all my mates are out, see familiar faces everywhere and places are closer together.
The People's Hero Posted 17 February 2006 Posted 17 February 2006 Luffbra is a shit night out! There's a reason all the students have an organised bus/coach most nights to Lestoh/Notnum. Either way, 'stone is the place to be.
Benji Posted 18 February 2006 Author Posted 18 February 2006 wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo what a party tonight yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa vrooombeugh!!
The People's Hero Posted 18 February 2006 Posted 18 February 2006 I had 4 pints last night and I'm on antibiotics. I seriously felt so pissed. Dunno if it was psychological... Off to Bluewater today. Gonna buy myself a funky new hat and perhaps some new tweed. Ooooh yeah.

Oh and I hope your antibiotics fix the problem, sorry to hear about that.

Maidstone was obviously the other option, but since they closed the monorail, that one was a no-no as well.
Knighton Matt Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 Ideal night is up Queens Road, down London Road and into town. Happy days, so many pubs along the way you can't fail to be a bit titted on arrival!

Twice the price, half the fun - Maidstone, you KNOW it makes sense!

Also brought some nice brown Peter Werth shoes and a nice new leather jacket. All in all, a good day's shopping. On the anti-biotics front, they do seem to be working. I really do want a bottle of red though. It's become a sunday habit Still - not long till my course is finished and I do feel better for it.
