'Arry pleads with board

Recommended Posts

Dave Bassett has pleaded with the Leicester City board to give him until the end of the season to prove himself at the helm.

Director of football Bassett has been placed in temporary charge at the club following Micky Adams' resignation.

The experienced tactician believes that he can take The Foxes back into The Premiership and has pleaded to be given the time to show it.

"I would like to take the job until the end of the season," said Bassett.

"I am certain I could get them back into The Premiership.

"All I want is until the end of the season.

"If I get to The Premiership and I fancy a go at that, we could look at it again."

'Arry give it a rest will you! We know you want the job, stop bleeding on about it.

"If I get to The Premiership and I fancy a go at that, we could look at it again" - that says it all really. He is not going to step aside if we get promoted (although I'm not holding my breath about that).
