Teeno Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 I don't think this froum needs changes but I'm losing a lot of interest in it. There are a lot of petty arguments and threads are becoming boring to read. We don't have any massive characters that make the forum fun to read like Malf and Joe used to on TB. I think if everyone tried to be abit more humouress and respectfull to others it would change this forum so much for the better. Don't keep making threads for the sake of it like 'Whats your favourite type of egg' etc. I think unless this forum lightens up a bit then it's going to become a very boring place. I think we all need a wake up call, so lets make this a fun place and Keep smiling

Cat Burger Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=1751 This was a post I made that I thought was humorous (well the link anyway), only a couple of people replied (thanks to them) My point is that if you try to be funny on this forum it dies on it's arse anyway so why bother. Seeing as I can't go to the games I find myself less and less inclined to post on the football forum, so I spend time on general and music, being ignored there instead I do like the music part the best though, even if it is the least posted on part of the forum.

Why make a whats your favourite type of egg one of the most replied topic on the forum?

Even if I can, then I have no sound, so there's often no point. I know it probably won't make you feel any better, but thought I'd at least offer some explanation.
Guest Daniel Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 I try my best to bring some humour but some people take it the wrong way, you could say what you wanted to Malf & Joe and they'd laugh and rip you back, people get very easily offended here.

However, if you start ripping into someone that you don't know, they are bound to be offended and will react to it in a negative way. Joking around and taking the p iss out of people that you get on with is one thing, but doing it to complete strangers is another.
Guest Daniel Posted 25 October 2004 Posted 25 October 2004 Sorry, im just like it with everyone, if i have a dig or take the piss its all in good heart, i dont come on a Leicester City forum to take the piss out of people.
Hullfox Posted 26 October 2004 Posted 26 October 2004 Interesting point Teeno, i know what you are saying. Thing is, one man's humour is another man's insult. I would think that most forum's are cyclical in their support and usage. Following recent comments I look and post less frequently and i'm logged on to the net most of the time for work purposes.
Oli Posted 26 October 2004 Posted 26 October 2004 But why does everything have to evolve round Joe And Malf, yes they are funny, but still. Thsi is a different forum with different people.
Teeno Posted 26 October 2004 Author Posted 26 October 2004 But why does everything have to evolve round Joe And Malf, yes they are funny, but still. Thsi is a different forum with different people. 29792[/snapback] Nothing has to revolve around them. All I'm saying is that they made Talking Balls what it was, this forum lacks the humour that we had over there.
Scow Posted 26 October 2004 Posted 26 October 2004 What people tend to forget is that Foxes Talk is still a relatively new forum. It takes time for forums to become a success. The forum is continually growing and it will get better and better. I believe it is already a success with how it's grown since it was set up a few months ago. We already have a good community here - alot of us on here meet up and get on well. If we all put the work in, we'll reap the benefits. As for the humour aspect, it was Malf who was the driving force behind Talkingballs, not Joe. Anyways, Foxes Talk is the way forward.
Ricey Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 I've been away for 6 days but don't worry I'm back!
