Scow Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Most likely be this.... Pressman Makin / Heath / Elliott / Stewart Scowcroft / Gemmill / Nalis / Tiatto Dublin / Connolly Subs: Logan, Gudjonsson, Blake, Benjamin, Wright Only change will be Elliott for Keown I think, although Keown could be fit for Cardiff. 3 strikers on the bench again probably. <_<
Mark Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Pressman Canero / Heath / Keown / Stewart Porter / Gemmill / Nalis / Tiatto Scowcroft / Connolly Subs: Logan, Gudjonsson, Dawson, Stearman, Wright

Scow Posted 27 October 2004 Author Posted 27 October 2004 Still no sign of Walker coming back then? 29940[/snapback] I think he's close, but he won't be risked.

Cobbo Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 I think it will be the team that Scowy stated, but with Keown on the bench for Logan (Bassett hasn't had a keeper on the bench at all, so I doubt he will start doing it now unless Walker is starting..)
Jonbluefox9 Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Still no sign of Walker coming back then? He looked very good in training yesterday. He won't be risked but he looks like he's back to full fitness and very close being ready for a starting spot.

Jonbluefox9 Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Any other players that caught your eye in training? Gillespie, he got lapped in a running exercise and Peter Shirtliff was the only person behind him. No wonder he's never given a go. Scott Gemmill looked up for it. First one out last one in and stuck with the leaders in the running thing. He was desperate to impress. There was no balls used because it was a strength and conditioning session.

Anish Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Gillespie is a disgrace if that was the case. He needs a good ole thump imo to make him realise how lucky he is to be a professional footballer and to make him feel some pride at being at LCFC. His whole attitude sucks and it just isn't fair him 'earning' thousands of £Â£s doing sod all.
Cat Burger Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 A friend who works in a betting shop told me that he goes in at lunch time sometimes and puts like 2k on 50/1 and stuff. This friend has been known to chat some bob in his time though

Guest Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 I don't see them changing the team too much. After Adams, it's quite nice to see an almost settled starting line up. I was under the impression Walker was more in control over whether he should play than we would like to think?
Anish Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 I think we need Walker back. Pressman is a great shotstopper, but Walker is more commanding in the box when it comes to crosses and I'm sure the defence has more confidence in Walker than they do in Pressman. I certainly am less nervy when Walker is in goal.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Was he the first to leave training Jon? To be fair, he wasn't but that was only because he couldn't be arsed to run back to the changing rooms. After the running exercise, they all went into the academy dome and he was at the back of everyone then. I've also heard he's a big gambler when he's back in Northern Ireland. Some people I know on another forum are from NI and they've said that Gillespie always uses the same cab driver when he's over there. They know this driver and he's told them that he has a bit of a problem where gambling is concerned.
King Kyle lcfc Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Most footballers have a gambling problem but Gillespie can be no worse than Joachim was wen he was here. Anyway MY TEAM: Walker Makin Elliott Heath Tiatto Scowcroft Nallis Gemill Stewart Connolly Benjamin subs Morris, Dublin, Dabizas, Gudjonson and Canero
Jonbluefox9 Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Most footballers have a gambling problem I wouldn't say most. There's a few but it's not like the majority of them have gambling problems.
