Craig Posted 3 April 2006 Posted 3 April 2006 Me and wellers are off to Reading, who else is going? Briing it on!!!!!
frenzal Posted 4 April 2006 Posted 4 April 2006 leeds for me, went reading '03 & '04 and found leeds more fun. plus during kasabian at leeds someone was flying a big lcfc flag. tickets went proper quick this year though, half my mates couldn't get one.
Finnegan Posted 4 April 2006 Posted 4 April 2006 Reading 02, 03, 04 and 05. Looks like our half a decade running might be focked, though, tickets gone in a matter of hours. Damned Glasto cancelling, bastards.
frenzal Posted 4 April 2006 Posted 4 April 2006 yeh it's bollox, but concrete jungle is on 2 days this year & if that's not good i'll just make a bomb on ebay.
willy37 Posted 6 April 2006 Posted 6 April 2006 what an awful line up so far! im hoping some good bands are added to the lock up stage though
Deathside Posted 8 April 2006 Posted 8 April 2006 yeh it's bollox, but concrete jungle is on 2 days this year & if that's not good i'll just make a bomb on ebay. Mrs Deathside and I bought our Leeds tickets when they went on sale straight after the 05 festival I am utterly appalled by the line up that's just been announced If it's true that Concrete Jungle / Lock Up stage will run for two days then it might just be alright Thinking about it there is one day from last year's festival that I can't remember at all (hit the vodka just that little bit too hard) - So maybe the lineup doesn't matter anyway I also find it amusing that both Leeds & Reading sold out in a day but Mean Fiddler are allowing people to pre-register for tickets in the event that more become available - Makes me wonder if they really are sold out or if it's just a marketing hype to increase demand for tickets???
Alexikokopops Posted 11 April 2006 Posted 11 April 2006 Was in Spain and tried to get tickets but that didn't happen. My 3 year run has come to an end. Although the line-up's looking a bit pants now if we're honest, and I might be travelling for 3 months instead, so maybe it's a good thing I didn't get a ticket.
Deathside Posted 28 April 2006 Posted 28 April 2006 Well things are looking a tad better now: I find it hard to believe but Mean Fiddler have announced that Slayer & Mastodon will be playing the main stage Some other bands added to the line up are not my top choice cup of tea - but I'll check out the following if I'm not too drunk / lazy Flogging Molly Less Than Jacob Cocheese & Cambria Jet The Fall Dresden Dolls??? The Rakes Peaches

I've no idea who any of these are! - Have noticed Broken Social Scene appear on a friend's Last.fm page recently so I suppose there's a chance that they might appeal to me?

To be honest I fear not. They are a Canadian Experimental Indie outfit. I think it is one of the best things about Reading that there is plenty of variety in terms of the acts playing so that it is still very much an alternative music festival, but there is some diversity in the bands playing and the people there.

YUK - I listened to a couple of their tracks - It'd made me feel sick - I shall most definately be avoiding BSS at Leeds
Finnegan Posted 5 May 2006 Posted 5 May 2006 Much love for Flogging Molly, but I've seen them three times already. Roll on Donnington! CRUE FOR SECRET BAND! (please!)
Dunc Posted 5 May 2006 Posted 5 May 2006 Off to Benicassim myself, not the best lineup ever but enough there to keep me happy. But then again who cares! Should be good!

I wonder...... (I hope) - I don't think SOIA will play because they are doing Donington OK - So the lineup is announced - Sick Of It All are headling but otherwise the lineup is unimpressive to say the least: Day 1 Sick Of It All Thursday Hundred Reasons bouncing souls Rise Against Boysetsfire Bleeding Through Lightyear Municipal Waste Send More Paramedics Day 2 Reel Big Fish Anti Flag Millencolin Alexisonfire Hawthorne Heights Against me! Capdown The Bled paramore Adequate Seven Captain Everything!
Mark Posted 5 June 2006 Posted 5 June 2006 Day 2 looks pretty awesome with The Bled, Alexisonfire and Paramore, they're great bands.
