Nah, I'm tiring of it all to be fair.

Starting a pretty demanding study course soon whilst still working full time. Also for the majority of weekends now, I'll spend most of the days playing cricket.

Good to see myself in the top 10 anyway.

You mean apart from running a now officially recognised charitable trust, working full time for an underwriting agency, working part-time in a pub (well - now and then), gym four times a week, vice-captaining a cricket side on saturdays and sundays, spending time with my girlfriend and studying for an Advanced Diploma with the Chartered Insurance Institute?

You're right, I'm a lazy layabout who never does anything but post on here...

Everyone has a right to be ignorant, but quite frankly, you're abusing that right.

Well, I used to work in Hospitals and even did a year of Nurse Training but had to give it up. So im doing a basic health and social care course to keep my brain ticking over whilst im at home so I can return to it (or something similar) when I finally return to (proper) work. Tis going quite well thank you, im actually enjoying it

I suppose the format might be similar.

I'm doing an ACII which is essentially an 'industry qualification'.. The Chartered Insurance Institute runs the course. I should really start at the bottom but I've been told I can probably do the Advanced Diploma, which is quite good, but I just hope I can cut it. They send the materials out to me and I sit exams every 6 months. That's as far as the contact goes. I'm being sponsored to do it though so as long as the work is within my capabilities, it's all good.

I'm waiting for a lot of the docs to arrive still, but I have my first exams in October. Should take me about 4 years to finish the course.

Good to hear you are enjoying the OU course anyway.

I'm dreading it in a way because if my 'background/foundation knowledge' isn't good enough, it's going to be a real struggle.

Also though, I just want to get going with it and get the exams done.

Could you not step back a level if it's too much? Or is that not an option after you've started?

I had the option to take the recommended route, but it would cost a fair amount more money to my employer and take a lot more time for me to be qualified to a decent level. As part of my sponsorship, I'm 'tied' to the employment for a certain period of time, so I wanted to keep that to a minimum, not necessarily because I want to leave, but you never know what is round the corner.

Fingers crossed...
