Schools are schools, kids are kids ... if it isn't in special measures then it'll be a job like any other - and if she didn't get a good idea of the place during the interview you can rest assured that it will be a reasonable place to kick off in.

Tch, I miss teaching. Maybe I should give up this life of joy and go back to teaching for a living ~ but then what would happen to all that tax payers money currently being used to keep me in front of the television?! :D

A friend of mine has just been offered a job teaching at King Edward VII School in Melton Mowbray. Can anyone tell me if it's a good or bad school??

Thanks

i hope that reading this thread will have alleviated any misgivings your friend may have had

Teeno went to John Fearnley High School as well, my sister works there I think she taught him and now his brother. I could ask her if she is aware of King Eddies reputation in the absense of Teeno as he doesnt really come on here anymore does he.

If she is a good teacher she'll be able to turn bad kids into good kids.

But Melton has got Pedigree Petfoods and Tubes nightspot, so not all bad then.

Really... those are the only 2 positive things you have to say about Melton?? :D

Plus you can discount tubes unless you enjoy a pleasant brawl after a night out.

Sorry I am an Oakham / Stamford boy. Melton sucks.

I personally hate the place allthough a lot of people like it there but it was no where near as good as my high scool which I loved. But I imagine It would be a good place to work.

What department she gona work in?

I have legendary status at the school anyway. My C in Resistant Materials was the best examination mark the school has ever receieved. :D
