Isn't the appearance of Dave and Tony spouting forth on world cup topics a bit pathetic? It is SO obvious that they know less about football than Graham Taylor.

Well apparently TB claims to have seen Jackie Milburn playing for Newcastle in the 50's.

He must have a good memory as he would have only been about 3 or 4 at the time

And I'm sure his parents, who were not exactly short of a few quid, would have been delighted to have taken him onto the terraces at St James's Park.. :ermm::ermm::ermm:

Why can't they simply say "Yup, it's a game everyone else loves and we wish them well but I personally know fack all about it!" ?

Sycophantic buggers.

Whilst we're on the subject of governments leaping on bandwagons, how about the whole "Kiddies Go To The World Cup After All" story?

Absolute bollocks if you ask me. Which you didn't, but you're going to get it anyway because it's got right up my 'arris .

One of the great lessons learnt in life is that: life is a sh*thouse, and at some point in your life, you're gonna get taken for a ride.

300-odd kids magically get tickets to go to the World Cup from a magical website, and guess what? It was all a load of hocus-pocus!

Enter Our Tony and the good ole FIFA boys and all of a sudden 300 quarter final tickets magically appear. The little sh*ts get some more time off school. HM Govt look like heroes.

Will HM Govt be adopting a similar approach to all burglaries and mugging happening this week? Free tickets to the World Cup for all victims of injustice. No, I possibly think not.

Blair, Blatter, you're w*nkers.

Humbug. Don't feel sorry for the kids either - they should be in school, having learnt a valuable life lesson...and that's not "Tony'll Fix It" either.

Lucky the kids weren't from Liverpool cause they'd have probably got the same response as the Liverpool fans got for the FA Cup Final missing tickets!

I have a feeling it ends with the Head being sacked for poor SAT league table performance and a News of The World investigation into how five parents bought new houses on the back of reselling the tickets outside the stadium.
