Lemon Harpic Posted 27 June 2006 Posted 27 June 2006 It's really picking up, I think. Yesterday's episode was very good.
Jay Posted 27 June 2006 Posted 27 June 2006 It's really picking up, I think. Yesterday's episode was very good. me to I thought it was brilliant!!!
willy37 Posted 27 June 2006 Posted 27 June 2006 u can see from saxondale and other coogan programs that its partridge trying to break free. long live sir alan
De Vries The King Posted 27 June 2006 Posted 27 June 2006 Only seen the first episode and I really didn't find it funny and so that's just put me off it really
Libertine Posted 27 June 2006 Posted 27 June 2006 It's alright, nothing great though. The bad thing is, it'll obviously get compared to Partridge which nothing will ever match.

The bad thing is, it'll obviously get compared to Partridge which nothing will ever match. "Are you Alan in disguise?" Just doesn't have the pace, the depth of character or the writing of Partridge. S'entertaining, but not great by any gauge - which is a shame because your coke-fuelled loved-up Coogan is a comedy surefire. I see this as his post-coke work to compare to Robin Williams' [ie. it sucks in comparrison].
Nationwider Posted 3 July 2006 Posted 3 July 2006 Just watched it for the first time. Made me chuckle a few times, could be a grower.
Maybes Posted 3 July 2006 Posted 3 July 2006 I seem to like it. Steve coogan is a legend. However alan patridge will never be beaten!
Finnegan Posted 3 July 2006 Posted 3 July 2006 Only saw the one where he shot the animal rights protestors with a BB gun. That made me laugh enough.
Janx Posted 4 July 2006 Posted 4 July 2006 Official Janx Comedy Genius Verdict..... Its a grower! You will get to love it by the end, particularly those over 30 who know most of the bands he refers to. By next time you see it and every addtional time after that on UK Gold 2 + 1 and a bit, you will see other things in it that make you laugh, like Alan Partridge and The office etc.
