Ultra Posted 21 July 2006 Posted 21 July 2006 Its not a suprise to see the challenge of the brits fade and to see them drop like flies off the top of the leaderboard. Indeed. We've pretty much fcuked up in every other sport this summer. Is it any wonder David Walliams of Little Britain is a serious contender for Sports Personality of the Year? But I'm glad to see Ernie Els giving Tiger a contest over the weekend..
Leicester Lass Posted 22 July 2006 Posted 22 July 2006 Should be an interesting weekend, Tiger looks fully in control of his game for the first time in a long while, possibly because he's only hit one driver in the first two days. Surely he's now highlighted the error of his ways?? The only doubt over Ernie is about his injury last year and him not being in contention for so long because of it, can he handle the pressure? Should be an exciting weekend though!
Leicester Lass Posted 22 July 2006 Posted 22 July 2006 Wooo, an eagle for Garcia at the second after a great up and down at the first :D
dandannieldanok Posted 22 July 2006 Author Posted 22 July 2006 Wooo, an eagle for Garcia at the second after a great up and down at the first :D Can't wait to see Garcia and Woods battle tomorrow, a taster for the Ryder Cup.

Thracian Posted 22 July 2006 Posted 22 July 2006 Building up now to potentially the greatest ever climax to an Open with so many quality players in the hunt. Woods remains favourite, both he and Els is almost bound to play better tomorrow but Garcia's been electric and you cannot ignore DiMarco for whom victory would be particularly sweet.

Like it wouldn't be for Tiger? He was well below his best yesterday, but he never lost the lead. Still a very short-priced favourite!
Stevosevic Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 Golf is not a sport. I would rather watch lawn bowles, paint dry or possiblely even a Noel Edmonds stand up show featuring Ant and Dec. Not a sport? its probably the most skilled and most difficult professional sport there is. 100x harder than football.
shen Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 Not a sport? its probably the most skilled and most difficult professional sport there is. 100x harder than football. Now now. Golf is a sport that requires a decent amount of skill, but I can see where he's coming from. It's not physically demanding enough like e.g. Cycling, Swimming or Athletics, all globally relatively unpopular TV sports. All those sports require equally lots of skill and technique as Golf does.

Head Honcho Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 I hope Sergio wins So do I! My two fancies to win at the start of the tournament have got no chance, so I just stuck £20 on Sergio to win at 8/1

dandannieldanok Posted 23 July 2006 Author Posted 23 July 2006 Well done Tiger, a very deserved victory. Shame he was only challenged by DiMarco and no-one else though. <_<
