That's half the reason my relationships don't ever last long - I'm too shy.

Women  seem to want public displays of affection and I just can't

Probably with some revolting MP when I was baby in my pram. Could this be the reason why I have always regarded MP's as sniveling, money-grabbing, caniving,, two-faced cheating homosexuals all my life?

Perhaps you've never met the right girl, the girl who you want to show off to the world. I know I haven't.

It's unfortunate that you suffer from that fear though, you definitley have to talk about it with any woman who you begin courting.

(the word 'courting' is under rated)

I agree with each and every sentence :P

I know for sure I haven't met the right girl. My last girlfriend - 4 years ago(!) - well at the time I thought highly of her. Then I found more about her over time, and discovered she was basically just after sex. That wasn't what I wanted (I was 16/17 at the time and just didn't feel ready )

To a lot of guys I know over here, that's like a dream come true. But not for me.

I found out more about her near the end of the relationship and it just blew it completely. The fact she'd been sleeping around (literally) didn't help either. Turns out, between the age of 14 and 16 (she was just about to turn 17 when we split, we'd been together on and off for about 7 months) she'd slept with at least 5 different guys and possibly as many as 9 or 10. Oh and she lost her virginity to a $10 (that's about 4 quid) bet, aged 14. In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't shag her. lol

That was a massive blow to the old confidence, though - I'd clearly got it so wrong with her, she wasn't who I thought she was at all. The 'real' her was somebody I detested completely.

Oh well. Live and Learn :)

I'm Sorry to hear that mate. Although some people would disagree, I doubt being used for sex is what it's cracked up to be :P

Many of the lads around that school (it's well outside the city limits, so it's very 'country') seem to think that unless you're getting some action 3 or 4 times a day, your life aint worth living.

People in Richmond (where my school was) obviously don't have very fulfilling lives. :ermm:

I always found Marvel comics so much more entertaining than girls when I was a lad...

Oops, did I type that?

I avoided her, girls toilets and dark places for the next few years.

So it's been you haunting girls toilets in the dark lately?!?!?!?! :P

On the top of the school library steps when I was 15. Her name was Miranda Airey-Branson... last I heard she was in cahoots with Tories and being investigated for electoral fraud :P

never trust a 'airy branson..............they all claim to be virgins

Can youy imagine getting to an age when you can't even remember your first kiss?

Am I to assume you've reached that age already, Thrac?

I'll probably have forgotten by the time I'm 30.
