Thracian Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 Blog from a Luton website: "I quite like it when people underestimate the Hatters - it happened again on Saturday when Leicester were the visitors but slunk off home with their tail between their legs after a 2-0 defeat." That's it then. The real reason City's whippet-like attack didn't cut Luton to pieces was simply that we didn't take em seriously. Silly me.
Ultra Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 It's nearer to the truth than other accounts I've read..
Master Fox Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 The real excuse is that Leicester are just not good enough.
Guest Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 The real excuse is that Leicester are just not good enough. The sooner people realise this, the sooner we can all enjoy the relegation fight. Or is it whimper?

macbeth Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 "occassional bogey" team in is always a good excuse
Ric Flair Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 The sooner people realise this, the sooner we can all enjoy the relegation fight. Or is it whimper? Could you ever enjoy a 2-0 defeat in that nature though? I couldn't even if we'd lost 25 games on the trot conceding more than 5 goals per game in the process. I think and know we're fairly shit, but I won't accept and enjoy it.
macbeth Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 I watched the shawshank redemption last night and it seems you can get used to , and even start to depend on, any situation. it seems we may have to

I think it's called resignation rather than acceptance.
Ultra Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 The real excuse is that Leicester are just not good enough. The evidence of the last three months of last season suggests otherwise. There's NO excuse for an inferiority complex!

Head Honcho Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 I also think Mike Newell signing his new contract 2 hours before kick-off was an inspired move! That will have been a right fillip to the team.
