cisono Posted 21 August 2006 Author Posted 21 August 2006 *Note to self: Diet from tomorrow....* Thanks for that Reckon It'll improve my strength?? Or is it only helpful to you?? Everyone is different. You need to find out if you are a protein or carb type or a mix. If you are serious about it, I might be able to help you find out... In any case, more organic, fresh produce helps most people.

Hmm I was only semi-serious about it in the first place, cos I'd like a little more strength, and I'm willing to take tips off of somebody with a great deal of strength (as you claim to have ).. How would I go about finding something like that out then???
cisono Posted 21 August 2006 Author Posted 21 August 2006 Wheres your Proteins and fats for muscle building/power work? I do eat some chicken (max once a week). Also fish once or twice a week, but not huge amounts. Protein and some fat in hummus and avocados (which I eat daily in the summer). Personally, I don't do too well on heavy stuff or too much protein. They make me sluggish.

I see In response to JME, being male (nothing sexist just what with bigger GDA and all that) your best bet would be a more protein or carbohydrate packed diet. After long exercise or work outs, you should eat As soon as physically possible to replenish, especially when you do weights and stuff with the way muscles grow (although not actually proven how yet) Cisono, don;t you love me? i got an A at A Level

How would I go about finding something like that out then??? Personally, I don't claim to have great strength but I know that last year a well-built Norwegian guy I know thought he could drag me across the room by my wrist. He was taken aback when he found out he could not move me at all. His mouth open wide, he said (several times) "I know you train 5 days a week but... you cannot be that strong" and proceeded to make a red mark on my small wrist by squeezing it really hard (he was still trying to move me. He kept trying for something like 3 minutes. He didn't manage to do so). (And no, he was not just pretending) As to finding out, I could probably email you a questionnaire and then give you your results back.
