Jonah Barrington, smashing bloke. One of the two world champions mentioned that I was lucky enough to play. He was qualified to play for Cornwall who were in danger of relegation and was drafted in for a County match because he had a rare break in his world schedule. It was the best I ever played and I took six points in the first set but thereafter there was never a chance of pinching anything. The court might have been standard size but after tha first set it just kept getting bigger and bigger! Jonah was six times World Champion and extraordinarily fit. Jehangir took his crown and eclipsed his record. He was one of a clan of brilliant Pathan players which included the once world champion Qamar Zaman. During his period as champion I ghostwrote his coaching tips etc and we played an exhibition match at Wembley for various racket company representatives etc.
