stez Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Do not rate NEJ as a left-back and he was woeful yesterday. Sell him now and let Alan Sheehan come in !! he's looked a little dodgey everytime (twice ) i've seen him. he does need a good run to get him some confidence
Thracian Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 I'm not sure. I'm presuming now that Sheehan has either got a serious injury that no-one's noticed, has become a monk and therefore missed loads of training, has forgotten what a football looks like anyway, has become deformed by so much time sitting around watching others, has grumbled at RK and gotten himself a 10-year ban or is a different religion from McCarthy. Whatever there must be some reason he never gets a chance to be the flop that everyone else seems to be in that position.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 I just think RK is scared Sheehan may suit the position so well that he settles in extremely quickly, forms a decent partnership with Porter on the left flank, (cos nobody can form any sort of partnership with Tiatto unless they are sent off), and get down the line to give us a different option when going forward. Not to mention the fact he may actually be able to defend there cos he's a left sided player! We are currently all too happy to allow our left side to be a pile of piss and have Nils giving the ball away all the time and be murdered at the back - cos he is older, more experienced and is a " good, solid defender "
gosfox Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Well if NEJ can get into a premiership side.....then perhaps I might think about scapeing the mud of my boots.... there is some good money to be made.....and if NEJ is good enough, then I want my slice :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: Gosfox

I mean, Chelski have money to waste, and they could buy most of the players in the world if they wanted to, but I'm not sure even then they would be prepared to part with a decent sum of money for the same Nissa that is absolutely garbage in the Championship for us
Jamesino_LCFC Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 FFS now I've herd it all I want a luxery mansion and Ferrari Spider. However we don't always get what we want. Exactly right. He is not good enough to be in the Prem, it is very wishful thinking.
Jimmy Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Exactly right. He is not good enough to be in the Prem, it is very wishful thinking. he's not really good enough for us, i think most would have far more patience with a talented youngster making a few errors (look at southampton and that kid) then nils just being plain useless most of the time
Ultra Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Sheehan's experience last season suggests otherwise..
Jimmy Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Sheehan's experience last season suggests otherwise.. what 2 games months apart, hardly fair to judge on that, especially as after the shef weds game he didnt deserve to be booted out
Jonbluefox9 Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 I found it funny that some people were shouting Judas and other things, linked with this article, at Johansson on Saturday. Why do people believe everything they read?! Fair enough if they've seen an interview with Johansson and he's said these same things but they're basing their abuse on a translation of an interview written originally in Swedish!! Saying he's shit I can understand but Judas just makes me laugh really.

I haven't said he's Judas, I've just said if he wants to leave he's more than welcome to go, sooner rather than later, and, imo, he is dreaming if he feels he's good enough to break into a Premier League side when he struggles at Championship level

I know you didn't say I had, but I was just clarifying that I hadn't. I don't think a lot of the members of this forum would have either tbh, as many share the views and opinions which I myself expressed on here
