Stuliasz Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 In view of his player of the month award for November, do you feel Heath deserves to be reintroduced into the team? I don't feel he ever did anything to warrant being dropped.
Ric Flair Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 He's better than Dabizas and Dublin. Not as good as Keown and i'd like to see Stearman ahead of him, so he'd be my third choice for centre half. He's ok, nothing special. Doesn't make as many mistakes as Dabizas, is more mobile than Dublin and scores a few goals. Poor distribution though and he hasn't got that much about him to ever be more than an average player.

Benji Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 i couldn't believe he didnt start on saturday since leveins been in he hasn't put a foot wrong (was the own goal before or after his arrival can't remember?) but i suppose dion scored so i'll let him off dabizas is a liability though
Guest Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 Dabizas is a liability, if you aks me. However Heath hasn't done much better. As long as he has Keown or Elliott alongside him he's fine, but he does tend to look like a rabbit caught in the headlights when he hasn't!
shen Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 i couldn't believe he didnt start on saturdaysince leveins been in he hasn't put a foot wrong (was the own goal before or after his arrival can't remember?) but i suppose dion scored so i'll let him off  dabizas is a liability though 41912[/snapback] 2-2 draw was Leveins first game in charge so he had taken over at this point

Sparky Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 i think he is poor and personally would have dabizas stearman and keown in front of heath
Guest Daniel Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 Dabizas & Keown for me. Dont like Heath much at all.
TrickyTrev Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 His distribution and positioning are not good enough even for thsi level, we can keep him as a squad player if we must but I would rather us move hom in in the long run. Short term I would rotate between Dublin, Elliott, Keown and Stearman. Dabizas is an obvious no no.
Anish Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 In for me. Heath isn't a great centre back, but we don't have many 'great' players in our squad. He could do a good job in this division and has done little wrong to be dropped when Dabizas has been shocking for weeks.
davieG Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 The advantage in playing Heath is that although he's not perfect he's young enough to improve with some specialist coaching from CL who was himself an excellent centre back. Heath is also just as likely to score as Dublin. Dabizas is poor now and he will never change, his style of play is now part of him. I see no short, medium or long term advantage in playing either Dabizas or Dublin. Keown or Elliott should play with Heath or Stearman. Heath and Stearman would then have the rest of the season to prove they are good enough. If either or both are CL will then need to bring in 2 decent (age mid twenties) proven replacements for Keown, Elliott and Dabizas, if they are not he will need to bring in more.
