Bob666 Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 Having not read his autobiog - does he mention whether he will always be a true blue or true fox? I got into a drunken fight once over the fact that his heart would be with the foxes rather than Brum due to the success he achieved with us. However, I've always been concerned that Brum may have been his no.1 club but I can't be arsed to buy his book to solve the mystery. great goal against Palace though! I managed to replay that goal each time my CPFC supporting brother-in-law came to visit (unfortunately he doesn't visit anymore: RIP).......

I've always had the impression his heart belongs to Pompey but also has a soft spot for us obviously.
Ultra Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 I've always had the impression his heart belongs to Pompey but also has a soft spot for us obviously. He's Portsmouth born and raised, and from his appearances on Sky I'd say they remain his first love. But we are undoubtedly his next favourite. He will always be grateful to MON for giving him a shot at the Premiership. After a long stint in the lower leagues he was determined to make the most of it. And anyone who was fortunate to witness his performances during the magical 96-97 season will confirm that he most definitely did. He is a top bloke who appreciated the support that the fans gave him, at Leicester and elsewhere. If only we could say the same about our present sad bunch..

Ultra Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 He now features on Setanta every week. How long will it be before one of the mainstream channels snap him up?

Guest Posted 27 January 2008 Posted 27 January 2008 He now features on Setanta every week. How long will it be before one of the mainstream channels snap him up? He does 606 on 5 live too now so I'd imagine it won't be long before we see him on some beeb related football programme. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him doing the live championship games for the beeb when they start.
Ultra Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 He does 606 on 5 live too Really? I may start listening to that show again when he's on. The likes of Spoony and Alan Green are dire. The beeb doesn't get the rights to Championship games until the season after next, but I suspect when the time comes, he'll be a regular pundit for them.
Simi Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 He now features on Setanta every week. How long will it be before one of the mainstream channels snap him up? He's worked for Sky for ages.
Ultra Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 He's worked for Sky for ages. Not on a regular basis though..

Ultra Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 He's also been on Final Score quite a bit this season. He seems to hop from channel to channel!
