You don't have to be the most talented but on a game day I expect you to burst a lung and a gut to for my team, just like Paddy Kisnorbo does week in week out. You do that regardless of the outcome you will be supported by 99% of us. The point BF was making, if I've understood him correctly, was that as long as you're putting in the effort then you will get the backing of 99% of the supporters. In the case of Kisnorbo, I would say that he was putting in as much effort as anyone else on the pitch but it was more like 1% of our supporters who backed him. Therefore the point I was trying to make was that a lot of our supporters aren't happy with just effort in reality.

ithuriel Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Indeed. they should be able to play at this level , if they are not then that is the managers fault for picking and playing them. they may as individuals have off days every now and again but if they do not put the effort in , like sylla last season in games i watched him play , then they will get found out by the crowd. in my opinion johnson is either past it or doesnt put in the effort , we do not know so therefore the player and the manager are going to get stick for his performances. i maybe should not pick on one player here but i am just sing him as an example.
