Thracian Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 There's been a lay-off and there needs to be a change of emphasis and some sign that we are evolving into something worthwhile. I can't remember is Kisnorbo's suspension is over so have put McCarthy as a sub (McAuley passes better). Otherwise it's a system which would flow through 4-3-3/4-4-2/3-4-3 with Stearman a wing back and Hammond/Hume moving and supporting freely. Nils remains the major problem because of his distribution from the back but I see little option because, while Tiatto might play the role needed better, we really would be short of height in our own penalty area in that case. Otherwise, the team's chosen for its got passing ability, adaptability, speed and as our best available team as far as goals potential is concerned. Because of the Nils problem I did toy with going 3-3-4 and having King (quite tall) in midfield and Hammond/Porter providing width and the ability to help in wide midfield. This would read: Logan; Steaman, McAuley, Kisnorbo; Williams, King, Wesowski, Porter; Hammond, O'Grady, Hume It's radical, and employs a full team of people I think fits my ideas for the first time in over 12 months but I don't think Kelly's that much of an adventurer so the best I can hope for is: Logan; Stearman, McAuley, Kisnorbo/McCarthy, Nils; Williams, Wesolowski Porter; Hume Hammond, O'Grady. Subs from: Henderson, Kenton, McCarthy, King, Odhiambo. Tiatto. Food for debate, doubtless!
The People's Hero Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 We're absolutely garbage. That said, I've got the strangest, sneakiest feeling that we're going to win this one 1-0.
dynamite foxes Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 6 subs Thrac, interesting. Also two players who are not going to play this season
Thracian Posted 12 October 2006 Author Posted 12 October 2006 6 subs Thrac, interesting. Also two players who are not going to play this season Depends on whether Kisnorbo's suspension's finished. Didn't think King was underage. Don't know about Odhiambo. Just went for the best personnel as I saw it.
escape2victory Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 Think Kisnorbo is still suspended so I think it will be: ----------------------Logan Kenton-------McAuley---McCarthy-------Johansson Hughes-------Wesolowski---Johnson-----Tiatto ----------------Hume------Hammond What id like to see: ----------------------Logan ---------Kenton-----McCarthy---McAuley Stearman----------Johnson----------------Tiatto -------------Williams--------Wesolowski -------------Hume----------Hammond

Mad Dog Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 please tell me more about king and odhiambo im assuming these are youth teamers??? do they warrant being considered for the first team? Yes they are. No, they absolutely do not.
Thracian Posted 12 October 2006 Author Posted 12 October 2006 please tell me more about king and odhiambo im assuming these are youth teamers??? do they warrant being considered for the first team? Odihambo wouldn't be a problem on the bench and I'd have King over Hughes any time. Then again, I'd have the temeramental Gradel on the bench too rather than Low. Temperament wouldn't bother me one bit so long as the guy delivered the goals and chances. He'd focus well enough int he first team.
DannyLCFC1 Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 My team would be Logan Stearman RB Macca Mcauley Kenton LB Hammond RW Williams Wesolowski Porter LW Hume O Grady Hendo, Nils, Hughes, Gradel, Chambers
Knighton Matt Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 Douglas Maybury Tiatto Johansson McCarthy Low Hughes Johnson (captain, I love that guy) Sylla Hammond de Vries
