Lineker's Left Foot Posted 14 October 2006 Posted 14 October 2006 Please can we have a convincing win when I'm not biting my nails? City can never win convincingly and comfortably. Apart from the Leeds 4-0 victory (about 3 years ago !!!) when was the last time after or before that time, when we did this?
sackmycook Posted 14 October 2006 Posted 14 October 2006 the best game i remember was heskeys last game for us. we battered sunderland 4-2 in the prem with stan also scoring. before that i remember a midweek win against southend (4-1 or 5-1) under brian little.

Errr... It was 5-2 against Sunderland. Perfect hat-trick from Stan (right foot, left foot, header) One from Heskey (laid on a plate by Stan) And a free kick from Stefan Oakes (remember him?) In our last promotion year we beat a few teams 4-0, 4-1 etc. Since then, we just haven't.
Cheese Me Posted 14 October 2006 Posted 14 October 2006 Shef Utd last season was the best for a while

He's just come back from injury and the new(ish) manager reckons he should be playing in the premiership and has the best left foot in the country. I remember him being a decent player for us - I'd have him in our current team certainly if he's still the player he was.

Under everyone else he looked a bit lost, a bit clueless and a bit lazy - not very well applied. Under MON he didn't look out of place in the Prem.
Brummie-FOX Posted 14 October 2006 Posted 14 October 2006 I think we won 4-0 against Wimbledon A.K.A Mk Dons, in 2003, with Dickov scoring a hat-trick Am i wrong?

The People's Hero Posted 14 October 2006 Posted 14 October 2006 Didn't we beat Walsall 4-0 the same season? Or did it finish 4-1?
