SystonFox Posted 18 October 2006 Share Posted 18 October 2006 something to keep us discussing untill saturday comes. they might come expecting 3 pts irrespective of form guide but 2 wins for us and 2 successive defeats for the diamonds should mean we go into this game clear favourites. Joe. Posted 18 October 2006 Share Posted 18 October 2006 We don't want to get complacent and cocky about it. Yes it's brilliant that we have two wins but we need to keep going and hope that Palace are still reeling after their two defeats.
Thracian Posted 18 October 2006 Share Posted 18 October 2006 I think the notion of "favourites" and "underdogs" is irrelevent. We have a job to do Saturday and only our best efforts will maintain our progress. We need to concentrate, focus on our game, make sure we pack enough punch to score and put in 90 minutes of solid effort (97 if the latest trends continue) to make sure we don't slip off our own gathering pace. From what was apparent last night, our first task will be to count the wounded and make sure we've got enough fit men to face the enemy.

If we keep this up, eventually our 'defender count' will hit 0. All it takes is a few more crocks, and we've no defence. With the right attitude, we'll give Palace a bloody good run for their money at the very least, and humiliate them at best. Re-living the war again Thracian!!!! Spoken like a true warrior!!! Captain Thracian leads his men into battle. Tiatto is right out of the gates in no time, and he's already hacked someone down - less than 2 minutes in! lcfc_jme Posted 19 October 2006 Share Posted 19 October 2006 Not sure. I'd love City to win and continue the good form but there may be a backlash from Palace under an old gaffer so I wouldn't make massively bold predictions. Oh **** it CITY TO WIN!!! UP THE BLUES
