Spent the weekend in Leicester and went to Kibworth shooting grounds for a bit of Clay Pigeon Shooting.

What a buzz, anyone else been?

no, but the farm down the road are planning on opening one up. They have fields behind our garden, so i better watch my head!

I've never been but it is something I wouldn't mind doing although I know I wouldn't be any good!

I thought I'd be just stood there shooting from the same spot but it's a bit like a round of Golf except you go to a different trap have 6 shots and onto the next trap.

Costs about £250 for a double barrel shotgun and buying the cartridges in bulk will cost you about 10p each

I went CPS (that's clay pigeon shooting, not Crown Prosecution Service ) in Hungary earlier this year on a stag weekend.

We through in £10 each to make it more interesting. A top afternoon was had by all - guess who won?

Its something I reckon I could get into when I've got a bit more time and lucre. The thought of brandishing a gun, on one hand, doesn't appeal to me, but once you've tried it a couple of times, its really enjoyable.
